Shepherd of the Hills partners with ministries in Haiti who are greatly in need of prayers and support in the face of devastating destruction by the severe earthquake.  Many are asking how they can help. Right now, we need prayers.  Financial gifts would also be of great benefit. You can make an online donation through Northwest Haiti Christian Mission or Children’s Hunger Fund.

Missionary Bios
“Valerie” is a young adult woman who serves in a confidential location.  She works and lives among the Kurdish people, building relationships and meeting various needs.  She will be with the people for approximately 3 years total, since beginning in September of 2007.  Life is difficult due to harsh weather conditions, inconsistent water and electricity, and language barriers.  But Valerie is committed to sharing the love of Christ to this unreached people group.       

“Tina” is a young adult woman serving in the Middle East.  She attends language classes and lives among a people group that is close to her heart.  She is the principal of a Kindergarten and enjoys being a blessing to these children and teachers.  Tina has a light that shines ever so brightly.            

Peter loves Taiwan and the people of Taiwan!  He says that they have stolen his heart, especially after living there for 2 years.  His work will consist of learning Mandarin Chinese and planting churches with his team.  Peter has gone through months of training and preparation in various states and God is providing for his needs every day.  Recently, God healed Peter after a car accident, which landed him in the hospital for weeks.  Praise God that Peter is back in serves for the Kingdom of God.

Austria: April 1-17-Opportunities include: kitchen, house-keeping, gardening, maintenance, and library assistant as European pastors gather for a 2-week learning intensive.

Russia: June 23-July 8 and/or July 27-August 12-Interact with college-age students as they learn English.   

Philippines: August 9-23-Be a part of Restore Ministries International’s Youth and Family Camp, and/or serve in medical outreach.
